Nigerian-American Comedian, Yvonne Orji Stars In Kevin Hart Movie, “Night School”

Nigerian-American comedian, Yvonne Orji was a big presence in Kevin Hart and Will Parker-produced movie, Night School.

The movie which was released on the 28th of September had the HBO Series, “Insecure” actress on it as she continues to take her stand-up comedy into a fulfilling acting career, a move that has been seamless, encouraging and totally rewarding.  The actress was full of praises and appreciations to Hart who gave her a befitting appearance in the comedy movie. The movie also starred Tiffany Haddish and a host of other Hollywood actors who’ve made a name in the industry.

Yvonne was born in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State to Nigerian parents before her parents relocated to Maryland in the US. The “Insecure” star who played the role of Molly in the series was born in 1983 and is a devout christian popular for her stand to be a virgin till she gets married, a move tagged as an act of bravery, rare and unexpected in an American society that cares less about it. Her parents had expected her to become a lawyer, medical doctor or engineer before she proceeded to New York City to start a career in comedy.

The stand-up comedian also featured in a Series named “Jane The Virgin” in the 13th episode of its 3rd season. Yvonne was chosen to make her debut in feature movies by Hart for her beautiful deliveries in the sitcoms she acts in.  She is passionate about Nigeria and someday hopes to do something significant to her fatherland as a mark of love and respect despite not living in Nigeria since her cradle years.
