American television star, Oprah Winfrey has denied ever having a say in how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their exit from the British Royal family.
Recall that on Wednesday, the Sussexes announced they’d be leaving the Royal family to focus on their independent lives. The couple took the decision without duly informing the Royal family, who expressed their shock at the development after seeing it on television.
The couple have said they will split their time between the United Kingdom and North America as they enjoyed the thrills of Canada after spending a holiday there.
Prince Harry met the Royal Family on Monday and they promised to stand by him in whatever decision he makes.
Reports have however made the rounds that Oprah, who is close friends with Meghan was a part of the plan. She has since denied involvement and said there are also no plans to hold a Tell-All Interview with the Sussexes as widely reported.
“I care about them both and support whatever decision they make for their family,” Winfrey said in a statement to the New York Post’s
Reports have it that Oprah advised the couple to move to North America and build a powerful brand, as they set eyes on modeling their post-royalty life after the Obamas.
