Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Hit 25,133 With 566 New Infections, Deaths Now 573

Nigeria has recorded 566 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update Monday night.

According to the centre, in the last 24 hours, 395 patients were discharged after recovering.

But 8 new deaths were also recorded.

19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Monday.

Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 166.

Oyo recorded 66 new cases while Delta recorded 53 new cases.

Others are Ebonyi (43), Plateau (34), Ondo (32), FCT (26), Ogun (25), Edo (24), Imo (15), Bayelsa (13), Benue (12), Gombe (11), Kano (11), Kaduna (11), Osun (8), Nasarawa (7), Borno (5), Katsina (2), and Anambra (2).

The total number of confirmed cases is now 25,133.

So far, 9,402 recoveries and 573 fatalities have been recorded.
