Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 42,208 With 404 New Infections, Deaths Now 873

Nigeria has now recorded a total of 42,208 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update late Wednesday night.

It stated that 404 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.

While 240 recovered patients were discharged, 5 new deaths were also recorded.

19 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new cases on Wednesday.

 

With 106 cases, Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll while FCT recorded 54 cases.

Rivers recorded 48 new cases with Plateau recording 40 new cases.

Others are Edo (29), Enugu (21), Oyo (20), Kano (18), Ondo (15), Ogun (10), Ebonyi (9), Ekiti (8), Kaduna (6), Cross River (5), Kwara (4), Anambra (3), Delta (3), Imo (2), Nasarawa (2), and Borno (1).

So far, there have been 19,004 recoveries while 873 fatalities have been recorded.
