Seven persons have been arrested in connection with the killing of Alexander, brother of a former Big Brother Naija housemate, Khafi Kareem.
ALEDEH had in June reported that the 20-year old student was shot dead close to his family home in Shepherd’s Bush, West London. He died after suffering gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen.
Detectives alleged that a white Range Rover Evoque linked to the murder was later found burnt out three miles away in Acton, Ealing.
Detective chief inspector Wayne Jolley believes Alexandar was killed in a case of mistaken identity.
“I believe this murder to have been a case of mistaken identity, perpetrated recklessly and with no regard whatsoever for human life.
“We will continue to work hard to make sure those responsible are brought to justice.”
The suspects include five men from age 18 to 24, a 16-year-old boy and a 34-year-old woman.
Reacting to the development, Khafi tweeted: “Prayer works. God does not slumber nor sleep. Please keep praying that justice for my brother will be served.”
