Another member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Crosby Eribo, has endorsed governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, as the governorship election draws nearer.
In a Monday visit, the member, elected to represent Egor Constituency in the State Assembly, declared his full support for the APC candidate.
Eribo extolled the virtues of Ize-Iyamu and asked electorates to vote him as “he is the right person for the job of Governor of Edo State as a man who mastered statecraft, following his varied experience in state matters.”
In demonstration of his support for the campaign of the APC candidate, the lawmaker donated several campaign materials to Ize-Iyamu, stating that the people of Egor Local Government Area and indeed, Edo State, are with him.
Recall that Edo Assembly deputy speaker, Yekini Idiaye, on Monday led four other lawmakers to endorse the APC candidate. They are Emmanuel Agbaje (Akoko-Edo II constituency), Nosayaba Okunbor (Orhionmwon East constituency), Dumez Ugiagbe (Ovia Northeast I constituency) and Vincent Uwadiae (Ovia Northeast constituency II).
Ize-Iyamu will face the incumbent, Governor Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and 12 other candidates in the September 19, 2020, governorship election.
