Fayemi Recovers From COVID-19 After 11 Days In Isolation

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, says he has tested negative for the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, after a repeat test.

Fayemi had on Wednesday, July 22, announced that his third test for the disease came back positive.

But in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle Saturday morning, the governor disclosed that he has now tested negative for COVID-19 after 11 days in isolation.

While thanking God, his family, medical team and well wishers for their prayers, he maintained that all hands must be on deck to continue to tackle the pandemic.

“After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative,” Fayemi tweeted.

“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well wishers for the prayers and solidarity.

“We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic.”
