The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has described the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, as a promoter of peace, social values and heritage of his kingdom.
In a goodwill message marking the 92nd birthday of the monarch signed on Wednesday by his Spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir thanked God for a “life of fulfilment and comfort” bestowed on the Olubadan.
He noted that “the celebrant has continued to keep good faith in God, a factor filled with honour and royalty.”
“Your roles as the father for all in Ibadanland has made the ancient town to remain peaceful for industries, corporate and public services to thrive,” the monarch said of his counterpart.
“I celebrate with His Royal Majesty on this occasion and pray that God should strengthen and grant him more peaceful reign on the throne of Ibadanland.”
