Just In: 298 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded As Pandemic Tolls 49,068, Deaths Now 975

COVID-19 cases in Nigeria increased to 49,068, as 298 new infections were reported.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in its daily update on coronavirus, said a person died of COVID-19 complications, while 207 patients recovered and have been discharged.

NCDC’s data revealed the following: Plateau-108, Kaduna-49, Lagos-47, Ogun-18, Osun-17, FCT-15 and Ondo-14.

Others are; Edo-8, Oyo-6, Akwa Ibom-4, Cross River-4, Borno-3, Ekiti-2, Bauchi-1, Kano-1 and Rivers-1.

As of Sunday, 16th of August 2020, a total of 975 persons have lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 36,497 persons recovered.
