Nigeria Records 304 New Cases Of COVID-19 As Infections Toll 44,433, Deaths Now 910

Nigeria has recorded 304 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure late Tuesday night.

The centre also announced the death of 14 patients.

18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Tuesday.

FCT recorded the day’s highest toll with 90 while Lagos recorded 59 new cases.

Ondo also recorded 39 new cases with Taraba recording 18 new cases.

Others are Rivers (17), Borno (15), Adamawa (12), Oyo (11), Delta (9), Edo (6), Bauchi (4), Kwara (4), Ogun (4), Osun (4), Bayelsa (3), Plateau (3), Niger (3), Nasarawa (2) and Kano (1).

Since the index case was confirmed on February 27, 2020, Nigeria has recorded 44,443 cases of the disease.

While 31,851 cases have been discharged after their recovery, a total of 910 fatalities have been recorded.
