No Death Recorded As Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Hit 54,008 With 143 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 143 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

There was an increase of 5 cases from the 138 reported on Sunday.

In its daily update late Monday evening, NCDC disclosed that 123 recovered patients were discharged while no new death was recorded.

17 states including the FCT reported new cases on Monday.

Plateau State recorded most cases with 35 followed by Kaduna with 21.

Others are Lagos (19), FCT (13), Ebonyi (9), Adamawa (7), Enugu (7), Katsina (7), Edo (6), Kwara (5), Osun (3), Anambra (2), Kano (2), Niger (2), Ogun (2), Benue (1), Borno (1), and Sokoto (1).

So far, Nigeria has recorded a total of 54,008 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

While 41,638 patients have recovered, 1,013 have lost their lives to the disease.
