Nigeria Records Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases In 5 Months As Total Hits 56,256 With 1,082 Deaths

COVID-19 cases in Nigeria declined further as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 79 new infections, the lowest daily count in over five months.

The NCDC report revealed that the fresh cases which were recorded in 12 states and the F.C.T, take the total confirmed cases in the country to 56,256.

A State-by-State analysis revealed the following; Lagos (30), Kaduna (17), Ogun (7), Anambra (5), Kano (4), Katsina (3), FCT (3), Akwa Ibom (3), Oyo (2), Rivers (2), Delta (1), Plateau (1) and Ondo (1).

The Centre for Disease Control, in its daily update, disclosed that 64 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country, indicating 44,152 total recoveries.

Also, 4 persons died of complications on Sunday as the nation’s fatality cases hit 1,082.
