Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 111 To 57,724, Deaths Now 1,102

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 111 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, have been detected in Nigeria.

It made the disclosure in its daily update late Wednesday evening.

The centre also disclosed that 149 recovered patients have been discharged while two new fatalities have been recorded.

11 states including the FCT reported new cases on Wednesday.

Lagos State recorded most cases with 31 followed by Gombe and Kaduna States recorded 18 each.

In addition, FCT recorded 15 new cases while Rivers State recorded 14.

Others are Imo (3), Kwara (3), Oyo (3), Bayelsa (2), Ogun (2), Edo (1), and Osun (1).

So far, Nigeria has recorded a total of 57,724 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

While 48,985 patients have recovered, 1,102 have lost their lives to the disease.
