Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 54,463 With 216 New Infections, Deaths Now 1,027

Nigeria has now recorded a total of 54,463 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update late Wednesday night.

It stated that 216 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.

While 429 recovered patients were discharged, 4 new deaths were also recorded.

15 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new cases on Wednesday.

With 59 cases, Plateau recorded the day’s highest toll again while Rivers recorded 27 cases.

Abia recorded 22 new cases with Lagos recording 20 new cases.

Others are Oyo-18, Enugu-17, Kaduna-11, FCT-11, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-4, Osun-4, Ekiti-4, Delta-3, Edo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, and Bauchi-1.

So far, there have been 42,439 recoveries while 1,027 fatalities have been recorded.
