Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 56,478 With 90 New Infections, Deaths Now 1,088

Nigeria has now recorded a total of 56,478 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update late Tuesday night.

It stated that 90 new cases were recorded across the country in the last 24 hours.

While 93 recovered patients were discharged, 5 new deaths were also recorded.

7 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Tuesday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 33 cases while Plateau recorded 27 cases.

Others are Kaduna-17, Ogun-6, FCT-4, Anambra-1, Ekiti-1, and Nasarawa-1.

So far, there have been 44,430 recoveries while 1,088 fatalities have been recorded.
