No Death Recorded As Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 58,647 With 187 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says 187 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, has been detected in Nigeria.

It made the disclosure in its daily update late Tuesday evening.

The centre disclosed that 42 recovered patients were discharged while no new fatality was recorded.

12 states including the FCT reported new cases on Tuesday.

Lagos State recorded most cases with 74 followed by Plateau and Rivers States recorded 25 each.

In addition, Gombe and FCT recorded 19 new cases each.

Others are Osun-10, Kaduna-5, Borno-3, Ogun-2, Katsina-2, Nasarawa-1, Bayelsa-1, and Edo-1.

So far, Nigeria has recorded a total of 58,647 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

While 49,937 patients have recovered, 1,111 have lost their lives to the disease.
