62 New COVID-19 Infections Recorded, Total Now 61,992 With 1,130 Deaths

A total of 62 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in Nigeria on Sunday, 25th of October 2020.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this in its daily update on Coronavirus.

The fresh cases, which however indicate a significant decline compared to previous months, were reported in 10 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A State-by-State analysis of the 62 cases revealed the following; Taraba (18), Ogun (15), FCT (6), Kaduna (6), Katsina (4), Ondo (4), Ekiti (3), Rivers (3), Kano (1), Osun (1) and Sokoto (1).

According to NCDC’s data, a person died of COVID-19 complications while 180 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country.

Till date, 61,992 cases have been confirmed in Nigeria; 57,465 recoveries and 1,130 fatalities.
