COVID-19: I’ll Be Leaving Hospital Today – Trump

United States President Donald Trump says he’ll be leaving the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at 11:30pm (6:30pm American Time) on Monday.

He’s been hospitalised since Friday night after testing positive for the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

In a tweet Monday evening, Trump said he’s feeling “really good” and “better than I did 20 years ago.”

He urged people not to be afraid of the disease and not let it dominate their life.

“I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M,” the American president tweeted.

“Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life.

“We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”

In a briefing on Sunday, Trump’s physician, Sean Conley said that even though the Trump has had at least two concerning drops in oxygen levels – one late Friday morning, and the other at an unspecified time on Saturday – they were hoping he could be discharged as soon as Monday.
