COVID-19: Nigeria Records 150 New Cases As Infections Rise To 62,521, Deaths Now 1,141

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 150 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

According to the NCDC, there was a decease of 3 cases from the 147 reported on Wednesday.

The centre, in its daily update on Thursday, also reported 154 new recoveries.

It noted that the discharges include 66 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines.

But two deaths from COVID-19 were recorded.

8 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Thursday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 89 followed by Rivers with 19 new cases.

Others are Ogun (11), Bayelsa (9), Kaduna (8), Plateau (8), Taraba (3), Osun (2), and Delta (1).

So far, 62,521 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.

While 58,249 patients have recovered, 1,141 have lost their lives to the disease.
