COVID-19: Nigeria Records No Death As Infections Rise To 59,583 With 118 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 118 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

Tuesday’s figure brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 59,583.

But according to the NCDC, 51,308 of them have recovered and been discharged. 357 were discharged on Tuesday.

With no new death reported, total deaths from COVID-19 remain at 1,113.

12 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Tuesday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 41 followed by Rivers State with 19 new cases.

While Osun State recorded 17 new cases, Nasarawa State recorded 13 new infections.

Others are Kaduna (5), Anambra (5), Edo (3), Ogun (3), Ondo (3), Katsina (2), Niger (2), Plateau (1), and Akwa Ibom (1).
