COVID-19: No Death Recorded As Cases Rise To 59,127 With 126 New Infections In Nigeria

For a second consecutive day, Nigeria has recorded no death from the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), however, reported 126 new cases of COVID-19.

Friday’s figure brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 59,127.

But according to the NCDC, 50,593 of them have recovered and been discharged. 141 of them were discharged on Friday.

11 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 62 followed by Rivers State with 22 new cases.

While Ogun State recorded 9 new cases, the FCT and Plateau State recorded 7 new infections each.

Others are Osun (5), Kwara (5), Taraba (3), Bayelsa (2), Abia (2), Zamfara (1), and Imo (1).

So far, 1,112 deaths have been recorded nationwide.
