Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and South Korea’s Yoo Myung-hee have made it through to the final race to become the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
A spokesman of the WTO, Keith Rockwell made this announcement on Thursday at the global trade body’s headquarters in Geneva, following a meeting where the news was announced to member states.
“Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria and Korean minister Yoo Myung-hee will advance to the third and final stage of consultations.
“The third stage will run from October 19 to October 27,” he told reporters.
According to him, he added that a winner will be announced before November.
