Nigeria on Saturday, October 10, 2020, recorded 111 new COVID-19 infections, which take the total confirmed cases in the country to 60,103.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the fresh cases were recorded in 10 States and the Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T).
Giving a breakdown of the figures on a state-by-state basis, the NCDC said Plateau State recorded 32 infections, Lagos – 23 cases, while F.C.T reported 15.
Others are; Osun (11), Ogun (9), Oyo (6), Imo (4), Bauchi (3), Kaduna (3), Yobe (3) and Rivers (2).
The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed that 2 persons died of COVID-19 complications on Saturday after the nation had recorded zero fatality for six consecutive days.
Also, 97 persons recovered and were discharged from various isolation centres across the country the same day.
Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 60,103; 51,711 recoveries and 1115 deaths.
