Nigeria Records 225 New COVID-19 Case As Pandemic Tolls 60,655, Deaths Now 1,116

Nigeria, on Tuesday, recorded 225 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was revealed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update.

The centre stated that 66 patients were discharged following their recovery from the disease.

One new death was recorded on Tuesday.

10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 165 cases while the FCT recorded 17 cases.

Rivers also reported 13 new cases with Ogun reporting 12 cases.

Others are Niger-8, Delta-4, Ondo-2, Anambra-1, Edo-1, Ekiti-1, and Kaduna-1.

So far, there have been 60,655 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

While 52,614 persons have recovered, 1,116 fatalities have been recorded.
