Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 163 To 60,266, No Death Recorded

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases increased from 60,103 it was on Saturday to 60,266 on Sunday, indicating 163 new infections.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on Coronavirus.

According to the NCDC’s data,  the nation recorded zero COVID-19 death, as a total of 24 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country.

Giving a breakdown of the fresh infections, the NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest figure of the day with 113 infections.

Others are; Kaduna (21), Osun (8), Ondo (5), Oyo (5), Ogun (3), Bayelsa (2), Taraba (2), Edo (1), FCT (1), Katsina (1) and Plateau (1).

As of Sunday, 11th of October 2020, a total of 1,115 persons have lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 51,735 patients recovered.
