Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 59,992 With 151 New Infections

Nigeria has now recorded a total of 59,992 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was made known by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update late Friday night.

It stated that 151 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.

No death was recorded for a fifth consecutive day while 63 recovered patients were discharged.

9 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new cases on Friday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 71 cases while Ogun recorded 26 cases.

Kaduna also reported 17 new cases with Osun reporting 10 cases.

Others are Oyo-8, FCT-6, Rivers-6, Plateau-5, Akwa Ibom-1, and Ekiti-1.

So far, there have been 51,614 recoveries while 1,113 fatalities have been recorded.
