No Death Recorded As Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Hit 59,001 With 153 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 153 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

There was a decrease of 48 cases from the 201 reported on Wednesday.

In its daily update late Thursday evening, NCDC disclosed that 94 recovered patients were discharged while no new fatality was recorded.

13 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Thursday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 81 followed by Rivers State with 21 new cases.

Others are FCT (11), Ogun (8), Kaduna (7), Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (5), Osun (3), Katsina (3), Edo (2), Ebonyi (2), Nasarawa (2), Plateau (1), and Kano (1).

So far, 59,001 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.

While 50,452 patients have recovered, 1,112 have lost their lives to the disease.
