PHOTOS: Falz, Runtown Lead #EndSARS Protest In Lagos

Popular Nigerian artistes, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, and Douglas Jack Agu, better known as Runtown, are currently leading a protest against Police brutality in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

This protest is against the backdrop of recent incidents of police brutality across the country.

The artistes were accompanied by hundreds of youths to demand an end to the harassment and brutalisation of young Nigerians by the controversial Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.

The entertainers urged protesters not to be violent as they engaged security operatives who attempted to disrupt the protest.

As part of efforts to curb the rampant abuse of human rights by the police, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had on Sunday banned SARS and other tactical squads from “routine patrols and stop and search duties.”
