Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have assaulted and brutalised a cameraman with Arise News, Francis Ogbonna, covering the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
The TV station’s crew were trying to get the reactions of protesting youths in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), when they were attacked by policemen.
Arise News correspondent, Ferdinand Duruoha, who was with Ogbonna was also intimidated.
A video seen by Aledeh News shows that the assaulted cameraman was hit on the head with blood gushing out of his head. His camera was also broken.
