US VP, Mike Pence, And Wife Test Negative For COVID-19 After Trump’s Diagnosis

United States Vice president Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence, have tested negative for the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The VP’s spokesperson, Devin O’Malley, made the disclosure in a statement via his Twitter handle Friday afternoon.

He said the vice president is in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery.

“As has been routine for months, Vice President Pence is tested for COVID-19 every day,” O’Malley tweeted.

“This morning, Vice President Pence and the Second Lady tested negative for COVID-19.

“Vice President Pence remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery.”

Trump and his wife, Melania, had earlier on Friday tested positive for COVID-19.

Melania said they’re both quarantining and “feeling good.”

“As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19,” she tweeted.

“We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

The American president’s diagnosis comes 32 days to the November 3 presidential election.
