AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles Squander Four-goal Lead To Draw 4-4 With Sierra Leone

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have drawn 4-4 in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match with Sierra Leone.

The Eagles strolled to a 4-0 lead in the first 30 minutes of the game but they surrendered the big advantage.

Alex Iwobi scored twice while Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze each scored one goal.

The Head Coach, Gernot Rohr, looked on helplessly as his side defended poorly.

The Leones Stars fought back through strikes from Al-Hadji Kamara, Quame Quee and Rodney Strasser.

Napoli Striker, Osimhen, was stretchered off with what looked like a wrist injury.

Despite the draw, the Eagles still lead Group L with seven points from three games while the Leone Stars now have two points from three games.
