CCECC To Begin Construction Of Oyingbo-Agbado Red Line Rail Project In Lagos

Chinese construction company, CCECC, is set to begin the construction of the 25km red line rail project from Oyingbo to Agbado after government approved funding for the project.

The contractor said the project, which is expected to improve transportation in Lagos, will be completed in 2022.

One of the engineers working with CCECC on the project, Mr. John Zhao, in a tweet, said the company will build more landmark buildings for Lagos.

Zhao, who posted the designs for the terminals, said some sub-projects will start construction soon.

“The red line rail project (Phase I) with a distance of about 25KM from #Oyingbo to #Agbado will be implemented by CCECC Nig. Ltd. within two years,” he tweeted.

“It will greatly improve transportation in Lagos after the project is completed.

“As the contractor for the design and construction of the project, CCECC Nig. Ltd. will build more landmark buildings for this great city.

“With the concept/preliminary design and detailed engineering design nearing completion, some sub-projects will start construction soon.”
