COVID-19: Nigeria Records 145 New Cases As Infections Rise To 67,557

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported no death from the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

The centre, in its daily update on Monday, however, reported 145 new cases.

The NCDC also disclosed that 227 recovered patients were discharged across the country.

The centre added that the discharges included 97 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.

7 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Monday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 49 followed by the FCT and Kaduna State with 34 cases each.

Others are from Plateau (11), Oyo (7), Bayelsa (5), Taraba (4) and Sokoto (1).

So far, 67,557 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.

While 63,282 patients have recovered, 1,173 have lost their lives to the disease.
