COVID-19: Nigeria Records 157 New Cases As Infections Rise To 65,305

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported no death from the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

The centre, in its daily update on Monday, however reported 157 new cases.

There was an increase of 5 cases from the 152 reported on Sunday.

The NCDC also disclosed that 89 recovered patients were discharged across the country.

8 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Monday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 97 followed by Oyo State with 37 new cases.

Also, Kaduna State recorded 9 new infections.

Others are from Bayelsa (3), Edo (3), Ekiti (3), Ondo (2), Osun (2), and Plateau (1).

So far, 65,305 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.

While 61,162 patients have recovered, 1,163 have lost their lives to the disease.
