Nigeria Records 137 New COVID-19 Cases As Infections Rise To 63,173, Deaths Now 1,151

Nigeria has recorded 137 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure late Tuesday night.

The centre also announced 306 recoveries but 4 new deaths were recorded.

15 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases.

While Lagos State recorded the day’s highest toll with 60, Rivers State recorded 21 new cases.

FCT also recorded 18 new cases with Rivers State recording 13 new cases.

Others are Kaduna (5), Oyo (4), Edo (3), Delta (2), Imo (2), Kano (2), Ogun (2), Bauchi (1), Gombe (1), Nasarawa (1), Niger (1), and Osun (1).

Since the index case was confirmed on February 27, 2020, Nigeria has recorded 63,173 cases of COVID-19.

While 59,634 cases have been discharged after their recovery, a total of 1,151 fatalities have been recorded.
