Nigeria has now recorded a total of 67,220 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Friday night.
According to the centre, the tests of 246 suspected cases came back positive.
While 101 patients were discharged, 2 new fatalities were recorded.
The NCDC disclosed that the discharges included 71 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
9 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded the new cases.
Lagos recorded the highest new cases with 81, followed by FCT with 73 cases.
Others are from Plateau(39), Kaduna (25), Ogun (13), Bauchi (5), Rivers (4) Ekiti (2), Taraba (2), and Kano (2).
So far, a total of 62,686 patients have been discharged following their recovery from COVID-19.
However, a total of 1,171 patients have lost their lives to the disease.
There are now 3,363 active cases across the country.
