Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 246 To 66,228, Deaths Now 1,166

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases increased from 65,839 it was on Friday to 66,228 on Saturday, indicating 246 new infections.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on Coronavirus.

According to the NCDC’s data, the nation recorded one COVID-19 death, as a total of 311 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country.

Giving a breakdown of the fresh infections, the NCDC said Lagos State recorded the highest figure of the day with 66 infections, followed by Plateau which reported 63 cases.

Others are; FCT (48), Kaduna (21), Bayelsa (19), Rivers (12), Niger (9), Ogun (4), Ekiti (2), Bauchi (1) and Osun (1).

As of Saturday, 21th of November 2020, a total of 1,166 persons have lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 61,884 patients recovered.
