Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 65,693 With Nigeria has now recorded a total of 65,693 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was made known by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update late Wednesday night.

It stated that 236 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.

One death was recorded while 120 recovered patients were discharged.

The NCDC clarified that one previously recorded death in Edo State was erroneously reported.

COVID-19 testing laboratory

13 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new cases on Wednesday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 142 cases while Ogun recorded 19 cases.

Kaduna State also reported 15 new cases with the FCT, Rivers State, and Imo State all reporting 14 cases each.

Others are from Plateau (6), Katsina (3), Ekiti (2), Jigawa (2), Oyo (2), Cross River (1), Kano (1), and Taraba (1).

So far, there have been 61,457 recoveries while 1,163 fatalities have been recorded.
