Nigeria’s COVID-19 Infections Rise To 65,839 With 146 New Cases, Deaths Now 1,165

Nigeria has recorded 146 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Thursday night.

According to the centre, in the last 24 hours, 116 infected persons recovered.

But 2 new deaths were also recorded.

10 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Thursday.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 62.

The FCT recorded 23 new cases while Kaduna State recorded 21 new cases.

Others are from Ogun (12), Rivers (12), Ondo (5), Oyo (3), Plateau (3), Bauchi (2), Katsina (2), and Kano (1).

The total number of confirmed cases is now 65,839.

So far, 61,573 recoveries and 1,165 fatalities have been recorded.
