Nigeria’s COVID-19 Infections Rise To 66,439 With 56 New Cases, Deaths Now 1,168

Nigeria has recorded 56 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Monday night.

The figure represents the lowest daily count in November.

According to the NCDC, in the last 24 hours, 165 infected persons recovered.

But 1 new death was also recorded.

 

9 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Monday.

Kaduna State recorded the highest number of cases with 18.

The FCT recorded 17 new cases while Lagos State recorded 6 new cases.

Others are from Plateau (5), Kano (3), Kwara (2), Yobe (2), Ekiti (1), Niger (1), and Rivers (1).

The total number of confirmed cases is now 66,439.

So far, 62,241 recoveries and 1,168 fatalities have been recorded.
