Nigeria’s confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, have risen to 122,996.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure in its daily update on Monday night.
According to the centre, there were 1,430 new cases recorded nationwide.
NCDC disclosed that the country recorded 1,131 new recoveries in the last 24 hours.
It noted that the recoveries include 435 community recoveries in Lagos State and 184 community recoveries in Kaduna State managed in line with guidelines.
Three new fatalities were also recorded.
18 states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded new infections on Monday.
Lagos recorded most infections with 744 new cases, followed by Plateau and Oyo States with 100 and 77 new cases respectively.
Also, the FCT recorded recorded 75 new infections while its neighbouring state, Nasarawa, recorded 74 new cases.
Others are from Katsina-48, Edo-42, Kano-41, Enugu-37, Rivers-34, Ogun-33, Kwara-32, Niger-28, Ebonyi-27, Kaduna-26, Borno-12, Yobe-10, Ekiti-5, and Gombe-1
So far, Nigeria has recorded a total of 98,359 recoveries and 1,507 fatalities.
