The lawmaker representing Ondo east/west in the house of representatives, Peter Makinde has re-signed his membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila at the plenary session on Tuesday read the letter of his defection.
He cited leadership crisis and division within his party as the reason for defection.
Makinde’s defection brings to three the number of lawmakers that have defected to the APC within two plenary sessions.
Last Tuesday, two lawmakers from the green chamber also joined the APC.
