329 Stranded Nigerians Arrive From UK

Another set of Nigerians, numbering up to 329 have arrived from the United Kingdom, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced.

Two hundred and sixty one (261) Nigerians had earlier arrived the country with the second group of people later on Tuesday.

The Nigerians arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja at exactly 7 pm, according to NIDCOM.

“This brings to 590 the total passengers evacuated from the UK today,” the tweet added.

“All Evacuees tested Negative to #COVID19before boarding and are now on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated PTF on #COVID-19.”

NIDCOM said the flight was operated as a partnership between Air Peace and Air Wamos, a Spanish airline headquartered in Madrid.

Last week, more than 300 Nigerians evacuees arrived from Malaysia and Thailand.
