The Senior Development and Policy economist at PolicyHouse International, Taiwo F. Akerele, has congratulated the former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, on his appointment as the Chief ECOWAS envoy to the Republic of Mali.
His congratulatory message was contained in a statement he personally issued on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The former Chief of Staff to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, insisted that Jonathan distinguished himself as a former Nigerian head of state and a man of peace and apostle of development. He wished him well “in this onerous assignment.”
Similarly, Akerele, who is presently leading a group of development advocates for an incentive based out-of-school children network in Nigerian North-East region, congratulated Mrs Yewande Adewusi on her appointment to lead the BBC global news for Africa region as Director.
“I know Yewande very well as a thorough bred professional, well trained and with good ethical background as a banker and wife and mother. She surely will achieve her targets having been on this for a long time,” he said.
Akerele wished the duo well “in this very universal and globally tasking assignment.”
