Amosun & APM Consider Legal Action Against APC’s Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has hinted that the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) may be challenging in Court, the election of All Progressive Congress’ (APC), Prince Dapo Abiodun, in the March 23 Governorship election in the state.

Amosun gave this indication on Wednesday, during a private meeting at his residence in Ibara, Abeokuta, with leaders of the party.

In his words, ‘’the framework needed for a legal action against the announcement of the results by INEC is ready.’’

He also said the party leadership in the state, is presently weighing options available to it over the results of the election.

The governor’s preferred candidate, Adekunle Akinlade of the APM lost to the APC’s candidate, Dapo Abiodun, in the election.

The meeting had in attendance, Akinlade, Amosun’s Deputy, Yetunde Onanuga, and the Director-General, APM’s Governorship Campaign Organisation, Sarafa Ishola, among others.
