The National Appeal Committee of the All progressives Congress headed by Oserheimen Osunbor has upheld and affirmed Shehu Sani’s senatorial candidacy insisting that he remains the sole representative for Kaduna Central District in the forthcoming 2019 elections.
The Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomole inaugurated the committee to look into the complaints of aggrieved candidates accusing the party leadership of stalling the process to their benefit.
One of the aggrieved candidates Uba Sani, a Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai had earlier filed a law suit to bar Oshiomole from conducting the primaries for the Senate and House of Representatives in the state.
The primary election held by APC in Kaduna State saw Uba Sani being declared winner while Shehu Sani was absent.
However, based on the report of the National Appeal committee, APC is insisting that Shehu Sani is the party’s chosen candidate in the senatorial elections.
