Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has described the death of the mother of the Emirs of Kano and Bichi, Maryam Ado Bayero, as the fall of another pillar in the family.
Atiku who made this known in a statement signed by his Media Officer, Paul Ibe while reacting to the death, said the deceased was a personification of motherhood.
He noted that her strong family values made her children rise to prominence and is making them behave as true reflection of their upbringing.
The former Vice President commended “her positive influence on the life of her children”, adding that “she was the kind of mother all children should be proud of.”
According to him, one of her major influences was her ability to keep the family united after the demise of Emir Ado Bayero.
In the statement, Atiku said, “The Wazirin Adamawa extended his condolences to the Bayero family, Kano State Government, the Kano and Bichi Emirate Councils over the the passing of Hajiya Maryam Ado Bayero.
“He prayed to Allah to forgive her soul and grant her eternal bliss in paradise.”
