President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday met with the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) at the State House, Abuja.
The EAC was constituted by the President in Sept 2019 to replaces the Economic Management Team (EMT), which was under Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
The economic team which started a meeting with the President at about 11:30 are expected to advise him on economic policy matters, including fiscal analysis, economic growth and a range of internal and global economic issues.
The Council is headed by Prof. Doyin Salami, the Vice-Chairman is Dr. Mohammed Sagagi.
Other members of the Council include Prof. Ode Ojowu, Dr. Shehu Yahaya, Dr. Iyabo Masha, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Bismark Rewane.
The team also have Dr. Mohammed Adaya Salisu, a Senior Special Assistant to the President on Development Policy, as its the Secretary of the Council.
