President Muhammadu Buhari and the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki met on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad made this known via a tweet.
Obaseki’s visit is coming after the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s national leader, Bola Tinubu insisted that there would be no automatic candidate ahead of the State Governorship election.
The party had adopted direct primary option for the State governorship primary slated for June 22, 2020, in order to allow all registered members of the party to vote directly for their preferred aspirant.
