Buhari Seeks Senate’s Approval For 42 Ambassadorial Nominees

President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate to seek approval for appointment of 42  new ambassadorial nominees.

The ambassadors are one career ambassador and 41 non-career ambassadors.

The nominees for the career ambassador is from the Federal Territory, Abuja.

Some of the non-career ambassadorial nominees are, former minister, Ademola Seriki (Lagos), Debo Adesina (Oyo), Dare Sunday-Awoniyi (Kogi), among others.

The President in another letter, asked the upper chamber to confirm the appointment of three nominees as commissioners in the Federal Civil Service Commission.

Recall that the President had previously sought the approval of 42 ambassadors some months ago.
